Governance and Accountability

South East Clinical Senate is responsible for delivering independent strategic clinical advice and leadership across the South East (SE) area to assist CCGs, local authorities, Health and Wellbeing Boards and NHS England to make the best decisions about health care for the populations they represent. The Clinical Senate aims to provide advice that is safe, evidence based and impartial, informed through engagement with a broad range of health and wider care professionals and patients and public in its formulation.

The Chair is accountable for ensuring that clinical senate is a credible and respected source of safe, evidence based, independent strategic clinical advice. The Chair aims to ensure that the clinical senate is able to demonstrate how it has applied the guiding principles in the formulation of their advice.

Oversight Group

The oversight group provides joint governance and oversight for both the Clinical Senate and the Strategic Clinical Network. The Group provides governance and oversight for the business planning process of the clinical senate.
