Mandy Assin 

Mandy is a Consultant Psychiatrist working in Brighton and Hove. She obtained her medical qualifications from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in London and trained in General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry at St George’s Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. Mandy works as an Old Age Psychiatrist and her expertise is in the management of functional and organic mental illness in the elderly. She has worked in clinical management having acted as the Senior Clinical Director in Old Age Psychiatry for Sussex Partnership between 2009-2013.

Mandy has a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and enjoys teaching and supervising Medical Students and Junior Doctors. She is a keen artist and has illustrated medical textbooks and drawn pictures for medical education. Mandy is passionate about mental health being as vital as physical health, and she very much enjoys being the Mental Health Clinician on the South Coast Clinical Senate Council and working with other Council Members to critically examine current health systems and to use our expertise to offer guidance to commissioners and other stakeholders to assist them to make decisions about healthcare for their populations
