Patient and Public Engagement (PPE)

SCN Resources

  • The Patient and Public Engagement Strategy describes the approach of the South East SCNs and Clinical Senate to PPE.
  • The Making a Difference Final Report and the Making a Difference Executive Summary describe the outcomes and insights learned from an Action Learning Set designed to develop new collaborative ways of undertaking PPE across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.  This was a joint venture with Macmillan Cancer Support and involved bringing together SCN and Clinical Sector staff with Third Sector representatives and PPE Specialists.
  • Engage! 2014 is a report from an event on 8th July 2014 aimed at promoting the role and voice of patients and the public in the SCNs programme of work.  It includes presentations from the day and summaries of group discussions on what good would look like in terms of earlier detection and diagnosis of disease, the long-term management of condition and access to emergency & urgent care.
